About us

Cuddra WI is located in St Austell in south Cornwall near the historic port of Charlestown. We were founded in 1931 and the original members raised funds to build own our hall in 1937. Since then, the hall has been regularly refurbished and offers a comfortable and convenient venue for WI meetings and events as well as for community groups and businesses.

Many of the members are actively involved in charity activities including making thousands of heart cushions for breast cancer patients as well as raising funds for Cornwall Air Ambulance, Blood Bikers and Children’s Hospice South West amongst others.

The group currently has 32 members and aims to have fun and friendship. We have interesting guest speakers at our monthly meetings as well as enjoying walks, outings and other activities.
